Progress awards are shot every other month so please watch this space for the next date, or ask a committee for more information.

To be eligible to shoot you must be a member of the club, with novice or junior status. It is not a competition as such just a way of monitoring your progress. If you have already taken part you can shoot again but cannot receive the same coloured badge.

Plymouth Archers run Taster Sessions for those wishing to try archery for the first time. This is a two hour session where you are advised on basic technique and safety. Due to saftey regulations we are unable to offer this to children under the age of 10. If you wish to enrol on the next session, please contact Jacqui via email on the Contact Us page. The cost of this session is £6.00.

The Current Beginners course starts 3rd January and runs until 7th February. This course is fully subscribed, but there will be another course running at Easter time.

Plymouth Archers also run Beginner's Courses for those that are more committed to archery. This is a more in depth course that runs for 6 consecutive weeks. The cost of this course is £36.00 We would prefer it if you have completed the Taster Session before you put your name down for the Beginner's Course, but it is not essential. Please remember the course runs for SIX CONSECUTIVE weeks and if you miss a session then it is up to the discretion of the Committee as to whether you complete the course. We can not repeat more than one week for individuals unless we consider there are very special circumstances. So please when accepting a place on the course, you must be sure you are available to attend all six sessions. We cannot accept beginner's into the club unless they attend all six sessions. The next Beginner's course will start on January 3rd 2012.
